* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Barry County in southwestern Missouri...
  Christian County in southwestern Missouri...
  Northern Stone County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 815 PM CDT Thursday.

* At 211 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Ozark, Highlandville, Sparta, Crane, Purdy, Galena, Hurley and 
  Spokane.

This includes the following low water crossings...
  Route C just south of Mcdowell, Highway 13 at Pine Run northwest 
  of Galena, Route BB at Crane Creek 2 miles north of Elsey, Route U 
  at Pedelo Creek northeast of Sparta and Route O at Tory Creek 2 
  miles southwest of Highlandville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
