EVENING FOR NORTHWESTERN BARRY, SOUTHWESTERN LAWRENCE AND EAST
CENTRAL NEWTON COUNTIES...
At 501 PM CDT, Emergency management reported flash flooding across
the Monett and Pierce City areas with water rescues ongoing. Kelly
Creek was still out of its banks at Monett. Between 2 and 3 inches
of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch
are possible in the warned area as more precipitation moves in this
evening.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
