Warning for the following rivers in Washington...

  Snoqualmie River Near Carnation affecting King County.

.Heavy rain has led to river rises across western Washington. 
Additional rainfall is expected through much of today, gradually 
tapering off this evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Major flooding is forecast. Confidence is high the river 
  reaching flood stage, but lower in the peak crest stage.

* WHERE...Snoqualmie River Near Carnation.

* WHEN...From this morning to early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 58.0 feet, the Snoqualmie River will cause major 
  flooding from Fall City downstream through Carnation and Duvall. 
  Deep and swift flood waters will inundate many farms...residential 
  areas...and roads.  Flooding will occur all along the river 
  including headwaters...tributaries...and other streams within and 
  near the Snoqualmie River Basin.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 6:15 AM PST Friday the stage was 51.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this morning to a crest of 59.2 feet late tonight. Again
    the confidence in the peak crest stage is low at this time.
    The river will then fall below flood stage tomorrow
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 54.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

* WHERE...Snohomish River At Snohomish.

* IMPACTS...At 27.0 feet, the Snohomish River will flood several 
  roads...including the Snohomish-Monroe highway...and low areas of 
  the lower Snohomish valley that are not protected by levees.  A 
  stage of 27 feet on the Snohomish River corresponds roughly to a 
  Phase 2 in the Snohomish County flood program.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:00 PM PST Friday the stage was 24.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage this evening
    to 27.1 feet late tonight. It will then fall below flood
    stage tomorrow evening to 23.0 feet and begin rising again
    late Sunday morning.
