...A line of showers and thunderstorms will impact portions of
Roanoke, northeastern Floyd, southwestern Botetourt, western
Franklin and southeastern Montgomery Counties, the City of Salem and
the City of Roanoke through NOON EDT...

At 1135 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of showers and
thunderstorms extending from near Catawba to near Floyd. Movement
was east at 30 mph. This line is indicating signs of intensification
and will be monitored closely over the next hour.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locally heavy rain will quickly reduce visibility and result in

hydroplaning.

At 1157 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of heavy showers
with occasional embedded thunderstorms extending from 6 miles
northeast of Catawba to near Floyd. Movement was northeast at 20
mph. This line is indicating signs of intensification and will be
monitored closely through 1 pm.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph.
