heavy rain persisting near Centenary. Between 2 and 3 inches of
rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inchs in 1
hour or less. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

rainfall rate is 2 to 4 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall
amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

EVENING FOR NORTHWESTERN BUCKINGHAM COUNTY...
At 1033 PM EDT, An area of thunderstorms has persisted for the last
three hours in the general area between Centenary and Wingina
producing excessive amounts of rainfall between 3 and 7 inches.
These amounts of rainfall in such period of time will result in
serious flash flooding of normally flood prone and low-lying areas.
Flooding of streets and highways is also likely. Small creeks and
streams will experience sharp rises in areas where this rainfall has
occurred. Flash flooding is imminent. If you are in a flash flood
prone area, move to higher ground immediately.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

* At 1107 PM EDT, Flash flooding is ongoing in northwestern
Buckingham county. Emergency management reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain in between Wingina and Centenary. Between 3
and 8 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1
to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
already occurring. Sycamore Creek Road has been washed out and
with a landslide at Woodlawn Church Road. Sycamore Creek is out
of its banks.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
