The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Prowers County in southeastern Colorado...
  Southeastern Kiowa County in southeastern Colorado...
  Southeastern Bent County in southeastern Colorado...

* Until 545 PM MDT.

* At 440 PM MDT, the leading edge of a line of severe wind gusts 
  associated with thunderstorm activity was located along a line 
  extending from near Sheridan Lake to near Two Buttes Reservoir, 
  moving east at 45 mph. Severe winds will extend far away from 
  thunderstorm activity.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. Brief, weak 
           circulations could accompany the leading edge of this 
           activity, producing locally higher wind gusts. Also, 
           blowing dust reducing visibilities to one-quarter mile is 
           expected in some locations, producing very hazardous 
           travel.

  SOURCE...The Lamar automated observing system reported a 60 mph 
           wind gust.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable 
           tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, 
           roofs, and outbuildings.

Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread
significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediately

property damage.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM MDT
FOR PROWERS...SOUTHEASTERN KIOWA AND SOUTHEASTERN BENT COUNTIES...

At 502 PM MDT, the leading edge of a line of severe wind gusts 
associated with thunderstorm activity was located along a line 
extending from 11 miles northeast of Hartman to 8 miles northeast of 
Two Buttes, moving east at 40 mph. Severe winds will extend far away 
from thunderstorm activity.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. Brief, weak 
         circulations could accompany the leading edge of this 
         activity, producing locally higher wind gusts. Also, 
         blowing dust reducing visibilities to one-quarter mile is 
         expected in some locations, producing very hazardous 
         travel.

SOURCE...A measured severe wind gust of 67 mph was reported from the 
         Lamar automated observing system.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable 
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
