The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Otero County in southeastern Colorado...
  West central Bent County in southeastern Colorado...

* Until 400 PM MDT.

* At 325 PM MDT, the leading edge of a line of severe wind gusts 
  associated with thunderstorm activity was located along a line 
  extending from near Swink to near Cheraw, moving southeast at 45 
  mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. Brief, weak circulations could 
           accompany the leading edge of this activity, producing 
           locally higher wind gusts. Also, blowing dust reducing 
           visibilities to one-quarter mile is expected in some 
           locations, producing very hazardous travel.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to 
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

  La Junta, North La Junta, Rocky Ford, Swink, Cheraw and John Martin
  Reservoir.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 PM MDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN OTERO AND WEST CENTRAL BENT COUNTIES...

At 341 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 miles northwest of Higbee to 8 miles north of Hasty,
moving southeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail. Brief, weak 
         circulations could accompany the leading edge of this 
         activity, producing locally higher wind gusts. Also, 
         blowing dust reducing visibilities to one-quarter mile is 
         expected in some locations, producing very hazardous travel.

SOURCE...A measured severe wind gust of 61 mph has been reported 
         from the La Junta automated observing system.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile 
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
