Warning for the following rivers in Colorado...

  Arkansas River At La Junta affecting Otero County.

.Heavy rains on Saturday are leading to minor flooding in the 
Arkansas River at La Junta.

For the Lower Arkansas River...including La Junta...Minor flooding 
is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to reach 11.0 feet, which is 
  minor flood stage, at 1 AM tonight, then the river will fall below 
  11.0 feet until it rises once again to flood stage late tomorrow 
  evening, around 9PM. The peak stage height is expected to 11.5 
  feet at 7AM Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 11.0 feet, Minor Flood. Minor agricultural flooding.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.4

...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in 
Colorado...

  Arkansas River At La Junta affecting Otero County.

.The river is no longer forecast to reach flood stage. However, the 
river will remain high as water from the Saturday's rains continues 
to drain through the area. Be careful if you are near the river as 
high water can cause banks to collapse. Swift water can still be 
dangerous even when the river is not flooding.
