Waters from Sandy Hook NJ to Manasquan Inlet NJ out 20 to 40 nm...

At 519 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms producing quarter sized hail and 
capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending 
from near Sea Girt Reef to near Forked River, moving east at 10 
knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and large hail.

SOURCE...Marine weather spotter.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 
         higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could 
         result in structural damage.

Locations impacted include...
Ocean Gate, Sea Girt Reef, Shark River Reef, Seaside Park, Barnegat
Light Reef, Pine Beach, Axel Carlson Reef, Silverton, Forked River,
Lavallette, Point Pleasant Beach and Barnegat Light.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts to 40 knots, large hail, high waves, dangerous lightning,
and heavy rain are possible with these storms.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.

At 549 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts
were located along a line extending from near Seaside Park to near
Forked River, moving east at 5 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small 
         hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 
         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Ocean Gate, Forked River, Seaside Park, Barnegat Light Reef and
Barnegat Light.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.
