  extending from near Raritan Bay to near South Amboy to 17 nm
  southwest of Cliffwood Beach, moving southeast at 35 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail.

.SYNOPSIS...
A cold front will slowly move south tonight before moving pushing
back north as a warm front on Tuesday. Another cold front will
approach the region on Wednesday, stalling nearby through Thursday.
A coastal low pressure may bring some unsettled weather to the
region Friday into Saturday. High pressure will slide across the
northeast on Sunday.

&&

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH TUESDAY/...
A cluster of showers and thunderstorms, some severe, passed
through the southern Poconos, lehigh Valley, and portions of
northern New Jersey. That cluster has weakened and is moving to
the east, so the severe threat should end in the next hour or
so. Severe Thunderstorm watch remains in effect for portions of
northern New Jersey until 1 am. There are also Flood Advisories
and a Flash Flood Warning still in effect.

Any convection should wind down around midnight or so. some
patchy fog is possible late.

Conditions on Tuesday should turn out to be fairly nice
overall. However, with the boundary pushing north as a warm
front, the area remains in the warm sector. With highs rising
back into the 80s and dew points back into the 60s to around 70,
it will feel muggy and very much like summer outside. A chance
for diurnally driven showers or thunderstorms will be possible,
mainly across the southern Poconos and Lehigh Valley during the
afternoon and evening hours.

.SHORT TERM /TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT/...
Any showers and thunderstorms that develop across the Lehigh
Valley and areas to the north and west should dissipate as we
head past sunset Tuesday night. Skies may continue to have some
clouds around but most areas should see some clearing overnight.

The next cold front approaches the region on Wednesday. We
should be dry through much of the day but some showers and
thunderstorms may start to develop by early afternoon across our
northwestern areas before starting to spread to the south and
east as a cold front drops into the region. The front may not
make it more than halfway through before it stalls, leaving us
unsettled through at least Thursday.

The heat and humidity will persist across the region for
Wednesday and Thursday, especially for areas to the south of the
stalled boundary.

.LONG TERM /FRIDAY THROUGH MONDAY/...
As we head into the end of the week, we turn our eyes to the
potential coastal system, which looks to remain largely
offshore. However, some models take it closer to the coast so we
can't fully discount that there may be some showers that move
into the area on the east to northeast flow. This flow should
help to keep us more stable so expect it will remain more
showery than thundery as we move through Friday and Saturday,
with the low pushing off to our northeast Saturday
afternoon/evening.

Behind the system we see high pressure take control land move over
the northeast states. The high hangs around into early next week.

.AVIATION /02Z TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/...
The following discussion is for KPHL, KPNE, KTTN, KABE, KRDG, KILG,
KMIV, KACY and surrounding areas.

Tonight...Overall, a VFR forecast. Some SHRA/TSRA may affect
KRDG/KABE and possibly KTTN, but will only include a VCTS for
KABE due to low confidence in a storm passing over a given
terminal. Some patchy fog possible late tonight. LGT/VRB winds.
Moderate confidence.

Tuesday...VFR. LGT/VRB winds becoming SW, then S at 5-10 kt.
Slight chance of some scattered storms forming in the afternoon
near KRDG/KABE but low confidence on this. Moderate confidence
on the overall pattern, but low confidence on the timing and
coverage of showers and storms.

Outlook...

Wednesday...Mainly VFR becoming MVFR or lower in showers and
thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and night. South to southwest
winds around 10 knots becoming light at night. Moderate confidence.

Thursday...Mainly MVFR with lower conditions possible in showers and
thunderstorms. East to southeast winds around 5 to 10 knots
becoming light at night. Low confidence.

Friday through Saturday...Mainly VFR though MVFR possible at times
in showers. East-northeast winds around 5 to 10 knots on Friday
becoming light north to northeast winds on Saturday. Moderate
confidence.

.MARINE...
Sub-SCA conditions will continue on the area waters through
Tuesday. Seas around 2 feet. South-southwest winds will become
easterly on Tuesday.

Outlook...

Wednesday...Winds may gust around 25 knots on the ocean waters and a
SCA may be needed for the afternoon and evening hours. Seas may near
5 feet on the northern New Jersey waters.

Thursday...Seas and winds are expected to remain below SCA criteria.

Friday...Seas may approach 5 feet on Friday as a coastal low passes
to the east of the ocean waters.

Saturday...Seas and winds are expected to remain below SCA criteria.

Rip Currents...

Lighter winds combined with less of a long period swell component
and lower waves in the surf zone results in a LOW risk of dangerous
rip currents for both the New Jersey and Delaware beaches for today.

Southeasterly winds are expected to increase, however waves in the
surf zone are forecast to be low along with a lower swell component
and therefore a continued LOW risk of dangerous rip currents will
continue for Tuesday.
