At 712 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Hope, or 15
miles southwest of Newton, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated. In addition, there have been multiple
reports of downed trees over southern Monroe County from
around Bartonsville to Stroudsburg.
IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Hackettstown, Blairstown, Belvidere, Oxford, Hope, Great
Meadows-Vienna, Allamuchy-Panther Valley, Greendell, Five Points,
Columbia, Beatyestown, Long Valley, Portland and Beattyestown.
This includes Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 3 and
21.
