Park in Manville.

and trails flood within Dukes Park.

tonight to a crest of 34.1 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will
then fall below flood stage Friday morning.
* Impact...At 28.0 feet, Backyard and low areas are protected by
levees and the flood wall. Without the levees or if there is a
breach in the levees, minor flooding will occur.
* Impact...At 30.0 feet, Main Street is protected by flap
valves/sluice gates. This level triggers the gate closures to
protect Main Street.
* Impact...At 33.0 feet, A large portion of Bouond Brook is
protected by the flood reduction project. Pump station operations
become critical, at this stage, for the continued protection of

Brook...Moderate flooding is forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most
flood deaths occur in vehicles.

the Raritan River At Bound Brook.
* Until this evening.
* At 5:15 AM EDT the stage was missing.
* Flood stage is 28.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 7:15 AM EDT Thursday was 41.1 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late
this afternoon and continue falling to 20.4 feet early Monday
morning.
* Impact...At 28.0 feet, Backyard and low areas are protected by
levees and the flood wall. Without the levees or if there is a
breach in the levees, minor flooding will occur.
* Impact...At 30.0 feet, Main Street is protected by flap
valves/sluice gates. This level triggers the gate closures to
protect Main Street.
* Impact...At 33.0 feet, A large portion of Bound Brook is protected
by the flood reduction project. Pump station operations become
critical, at this stage, for the continued protection of the
borough.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 41.9
feet on 08/28/2011.

* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this
morning and continue falling to 6.4 feet early Monday morning.
* Impact...At 11.0 feet, At this level, inundation begins in Dukes
Park in Manville.
* Impact...At 12.0 feet, Cautionary/Action stage is reached. Roads
and trails flood within Dukes Park.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet, Southside Avenue in Somerville floods.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet, Dukes Parkway begins to flood in
Hillsborough.
