portions of the warned area, especially near Interstate 287 in the 
Metuchen area. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. 
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the 
warned area.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

At 710 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding across 
the warned area. Several water rescues have been reported in Union 
Beach, with numerous roads closed between Union Beach and 
Middletown. Other road closures have been reported in New Brunswick. 
Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall 
amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

the warned area, with severe flash flooding continuing in northern 
Monmouth County between Union Beach and Middletown. Several roads 
are closed, and water rescues are still in progress. Between 2.5 and 
5 inches of rain have fallen.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
