.DISCUSSION...

Well the main line of storms has crossed the Tennessee River and
made it into Middle Tennessee this evening. Luckily, these storms
have been fairly underwhelming and disorganized. Still think there
could be one or two strong to severe thunderstorms over the next
couple of hours, but that's really focused on locations south of
I-40 at the moment where the better environment resides. Damaging
wind gusts look to be the main threat with any strong to severe
thunderstorm that develops. Severe Thunderstorm Watch continues
through midnight although it looks like we will begin to clear
counties here soon beginning in the northwest. We're not out of
the woods completely, but a widespread severe weather event looks
very unlikely at this point.

Once this line of storms pushes through the area, we can welcome
fall back to Middle Tennessee again.  Finally.

00Z TAF DISCUSSION.

Showers and thunderstorms will move into the area ahead of a cold
front this evening into the overnight hours. MVFR/IFR cigs/vis
will be possible, as well as brief LIFR conditions possible with
heaviest rainfall. Winds will transition to westerly then
northwesterly behind the front by sunrise around 10 knots gusting
up to 20 knots at times. VFR conditions should return to terminals
from west to east overnight, possibly having MVFR cigs into mid
morning at KCSV.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Middle Tennessee.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Severe thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon and evening.
Locations most likely to experience severe storms will be
areas west of Cumberland Plateau Region, including Nashville Metro
Area. Main threat will be damaging straight-line winds, frequent
lightning, brief heavy downpours resulting in localized flooding,
and hail. Isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

east central Perry and southwestern Hickman Counties through 845 PM
CDT...

At 822 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles northeast of Linden, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Hohenwald, Centerville, Kimmins, Nunnelly and Pleasantville.
