At 331 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Gladstone, or 7 miles east of Escanaba, moving southeast at 25 mph.

Penny size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Stonington.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

If on or near the Big Bay De Noc or in the far north of the Bay of
Green Bay, get out of the water and move indoors or inside a
vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the
parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough
to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be
caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

...Air Quality Reduced from Distant Wildfires...

Smoke from wildfires located in Canada is being transported
into the area by northwest winds behind a cold front. Smoke may
reduce visibility and may cause health effects for sensitive
groups, such as people with lung disease, heart disease, and
children and older adults. Widespread rainfall on Tuesday is
expected to reduce impacts associated with the smoke.
