The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Mobile County in southwestern Alabama...

* Until 1030 AM CDT.

* At 434 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated  bands of torrential 
  rainfall moving across much of Mobile county. Between 1 and 3 
  inches of rain have fallen and additional bands of torrential 
  rainfall will continue to train across the county early this 
  morning. Additional rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches, possibly 
  falling in a short period time, are anticipated in the warned 
  area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Midtown Mobile, Downtown Mobile, Prichard, Tillmans Corner, 
  Saraland, Theodore, Chickasaw, Satsuma, Grand Bay, Citronelle, 
  Bayou La Batre, Creola, Dauphin Island, Chunchula, Gulfcrest, 
  Axis, Mount Vernon, Semmes, Tanner Williams and Mobile Regional 
  Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 AM CDT THIS 
MORNING FOR MOBILE COUNTY...

At 549 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a slow moving band of showers 
and thunderstorms producing torrential rainfall across Mobile 
county. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain has recently fallen over the 
western part of Mobile county and additional rainfall amounts of at 
least 3 to 5 inches could fall in a short period of time. Excessive 
runoff from the torrential rainfall will likely result in flash 
flooding.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
