.DISCUSSION...

...Areas of Fog, Some Dense, Expected Again Tonight...

Tonight...Sea fog along the Volusia County coast dissipated
earlier this evening and now conditions are mostly clear and quiet
across the area. Muggy and mild overnight as temps drop into the
mid to upper 60s, which is around 10-15 degrees above normal for
mid February.

High low level moisture and light winds favor widespread fog once
again tonight. Some of the fog will be dense and a Dense Fog
Advisory may be issued late tonight. If you encounter fog while
driving you should reduce your speed, use only your low beam
headlights, and leave extra following distance.

Thursday...S/SE flow will continue resulting in above normal
temperatures, peaking in the low to mid 80s. Rain chances will be
a little higher as a slug of moisture is poised to lift north
across the area on the western periphery of the Atlantic ridge.
Expect isolated to scattered showers and perhaps a few lightning
storms, mainly in the afternoon.

.AVIATION...

VFR conditions through late evening, then fog and low stratus will
develop across much of the area once again, mostly after 11/06Z.
TAFs hit hard the expected IFR/LIFR conditions from fog and low
stratus, especially across the interior and northern terminals.
The sea fog along the Volusia Coast dissipated earlier this
evening, so the DAB TAF was amended to show a delay in fog impact.

Tonight-Thursday...Favorable boating conditions as Atlantic high
pressure keeps S/SE winds 10-15 across the local waters. Expect
seas 2-3 feet nearshore and 3-4 feet offshore.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

.DENSE FOG/SMOKE IMPACT...
Dense fog is expected to develop again overnight across east central
Florida. Visibility may drop as low as one quarter of a mile or
less. If out driving tonight and early Thursday morning, be prepared
to encounter reduced visibilities from dense fog. When driving in
dense fog, reduce your speed, use only your low beam headlights, and
leave extra distance between your vehicle and the one in front of
you. A Dense Fog Advisory may be necessary, once again.

Dense fog will also reduce visibility to one quarter mile or less
across the near shore marine waters of Volusia County through
tonight and into Thursday morning. If you must navigate, proceed
with caution. Use proper fog signals. Make sure all running lights
are on. Remember to use your radar and compass.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.
The rip current risk will remain Moderate at area beaches on
Thursday and Friday. Conditions are again favorable for locally
dense fog to develop Thursday and Friday nights. Another frontal
boundary approaching the area will bring increasing rain chances,
with potential for lightning storms, from Friday continuing into the
upcoming weekend.
