SOUTHEASTERN PITT AND SOUTHWESTERN BEAUFORT COUNTIES... At 1130 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Vanceboro, or 15 miles southeast of Ayden, moving east at 40 mph. Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail are possible with this storm. Locations impacted include... Washington, River Road, Blounts Creek, Vanceboro, Calico, Fort Barnwell, Wilmar, Edward, Bunyan, Bonnerton, Cox Crossroads, Core Point, Bayview, Aurora Ferry Terminal, Goose Creek State Park and Gardnerville.
