SOUTHWESTERN CARTERET COUNTIES...

At 1203 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Newport,
moving north at 40 mph.

Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Morehead City, Newport, Pine Knoll Shores, Broad Creek, Wildwood,
North Harlowe, Mitchell Village and Indian Beach.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 PM EDT for eastern North
