the Missouri Bootheel...North Mississippi...and West Tennessee.

There is a Marginal Risk for severe thunderstorms today, along and
north of the Interstate 40 corridor. Damaging winds and flash
flooding will be possible.

Away from thunderstorm outflow, midafternoon heat indices may
approach 105 degrees.

The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.

...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southwestern
Crockett and northern Haywood Counties through 1230 PM CDT...

At 1207 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Belle Eagle, or 7 miles northwest of Brownsville, moving northeast at
10 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Brownsville, Bells, Nutbush, Belle Eagle, Forked Deer, Maury City,
Allens, Dog Hill, Christmasville, Rudolph, Tibbs, Jones, Johnsons
Grove, Frog Jump, Oakview, Owl City, Edward Grove and Toulon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
