* At 10:00 AM CST this morning the stage was 22.6 feet.
* Action stage is 28.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 34.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to 30.0 feet Thursday, March 11. It
will then fall to 29.9 feet and begin rising again Saturday, March
13. It will rise to 30.0 feet Monday, March 15. It will then fall
again and remain below flood stage.
* Impact...At 30.0 feet, In Memphis, the boat landing on the north
end of Mud Island at the mouth of the Wolf River is covered. In
Arkansas, recreational vehicle park south of West Memphis starts
to flood. Dacus Lake Road is flooding north and south of I-40. The
river is against the toe of the levee from the north Shelby County
line south to near Sulcer Road. Water is encroaching the levee
near the south end of Island 40 Chute. The camp near Mound City is
flooding. Water is beginning to flood the settlement near Blue
Lake.

Skies have cleared and has allowed some patchy fog to develop due to the calm winds and saturated ground. Thus far only Batesville, Mississippi has had visibilities drop to a quarter mile. Will continue to monitor in case additional sites drop triggering the need for a Dense Fog Advisory. Tranquil weather conditions will continue across the Mid-South through Thursday Night. Can't rule out patchy fog developing again tomorrow night as the SFC high remains over the area. Temperatures will continue to moderate through the period with highs expected to be in the 60s. An upper level low pressure system will begin to move into the Mid-South early Friday morning. Models show the upper level low weakening into an upper trof as it moves into the area. A few of the models including the latest NAM and Canadian hardly shows any QPF occurring across the Mid-South as the bulk of the rain will be shunted to the south and west. Will continue to carry small POPS for now, generally for a corridor stretching from Forrest City, Arkansas to near Water Valley, Mississippi. Any rain that occurs will quickly move out of the area around sunset. High pressure will rebuild over the region for next weekend into early next week. Highs will be cooler over the weekend with readings in the mid 50s to mid 60s. However as the high shifts east on Monday and Tuesday, warmer temperatures will occur with readings in the mid 60s to lower 70s.
