* Forecast...The river is expected to remain nearly steady through 
  early to mid week next week, then possibly begin a slow fall. 
  However, it is expected to remain above flood stage into the 
  middle of the month.
* Impact...At 10.0 feet, Pastureland and cropland not protected by 
  levees in Jackson and Woodruff counties affected. Water is over 
  portions of State Highway 37 and deep along the shoulders of State 
  Highway 18 near Grubbs. Water over portions of Woodruff County 
  Road 775 north of State Highway 260.

VFR conditions will be prevalent through the period. Light and
variable winds will be noted during the overnight hours, but these
will become north/northeasterly during the daytime. Upper level
system moving into the region will keep clouds over us, with some
isolated SHRA this evening, and then as daytime heating kicks in
on Tuesday. Could also be isolated TSRA near the southeastern
sites (PBF/LLQ), and as such, I've included PROB30 TSRA after 18Z.

SHORT TERM...Tonight Through Wednesday

Seeing mainly partly cloudy skies acrs the FA this aftn, with mid
aftn temps ranging fm the mid 70s to the mid 80s. Have seen a few
short-lived showers form ovr parts of NE AR. Expect any additional
activity to quickly dissipate by sunset.

Looking at a short period of unsettled wx for most of the area in
the coming days. An upper lvl trof ovr the region rmns fcst to bcm
closed off ovr the next 24 hours and meander acrs AR. We can expect
to see partly to mostly cloudy skies, along with scattered showers
and a few storms, Tue and Wed. Cannot rule out a few hailers each
aftn, as colder air aloft wl produce steeper lapse rates in the
vcnty of the upper low center.

LONG TERM...Wednesday Night Through Monday

The extended term will begin with a slow moving upper-low over the
area, which will gradually lift out toward the upper Ohio Valley.
Increased cloudiness and a few thunderstorms will linger in the NE
zones in the early periods.

Otherwise the upper level pattern will become quite progressive,
with ridging across the eastern portions of the country, with a trof
developing across the midsection of the country. By late Sunday into
Monday, another trof will be pushing into the area, bringing
increasing rain chances.

Models are showing a lot of differences on the timing and strength
of the system coming in on late Sunday into Monday, so for the time
being I have gone rather light on POPs due to the uncertainty
surrounding this system.
