SOUTHEASTERN BRISCOE COUNTIES UNTIL 200 AM CDT...
At 123 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Turkey. This storm was nearly stationary.
Pea size hail and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with
this storm. The West Texas Mesonet 2 miles west-southwest of Turkey
measured a wind gust of 53 mph at 115 AM.
Locations impacted include...
Turkey, Caprock Canyon State Park, and Valley Schools.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
