Warning for the following rivers in Missouri...

  Hinkson Creek at Columbia.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast 
precipitation for the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even 
higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor 
this developing situation and issue follow up statements as 
conditions change.

* At 1:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 6.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage early this 
  morning to 18.0 feet late this morning. It will then fall below 
  flood stage this afternoon to 13.1 feet and begin rising again 
  this evening. It will rise to 14.6 feet late tonight. It will then 
  fall to 10.8 feet and begin rising again tomorrow evening. It will 
  rise to 11.2 feet early Sunday morning. It will then fall again 
  and remain below flood stage.
* Impact...At 17.7 feet, Height of the football practice field, 
  protected by a levee to about 25.5 feet.

* Forecast...The river will oscillate above flood stage with a 
  maximum value of 22.2 feet late this morning. It will fall below 
  flood stage this evening.
* Impact...At 21.9 feet, Base of the fence at the power substation 
  just off the right bank downstream of the old Providence Road 
  bridge begins to flood.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 22.4 
  feet on 04/30/2009.
