* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 10:00 PM CDT Friday was 31.2 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 35.9 feet
early Monday morning.
* Impact...At 36.0 feet, Chester water works pumphouse is threatened
by flood waters. Highway 61 is closed at the bend at St. Marys
and a detour is set up through town. Near this height, St.
Genevieve County levee #2 is overtopped. This levee protects 7000
acres.

tomorrow evening and continue falling to 22.4 feet Friday evening.
* Impact...At 27.5 feet, At this stage, Lock and Dam 25 will
stockpile 200 tons of sand, 12,000 sandbags, and 10,000 square
feet of polyethylene plastic as a precaution.

at Washeon Road, and Grafton Ferry Road and Sherwood Harbor Road
north of Smartt Field are closed. West of Portage des Sioux,
Sioux Drive is also closed at this height.
