This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of south central
Indiana and Central Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Heat indices this afternoon will top out near 103 degrees along and
west of Interstate 65.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Heat index values will generally range from 100 to 105 degrees in
the afternoon Wednesday and Thursday along and west of I-65.

Isolated to widely scattered storms are forecast each afternoon and
evening. Locally heavy rainfall and lightning are the primary storm
hazards. A cold front approaching Monday may bring more widespread
activity.

Spotter activation will likely not be needed at least through the
weekend.

...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of west central Scott
and northeastern Washington Counties through 245 PM EDT...

At 200 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Brownstown, moving southeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern
Washington and west central Scott Counties, including the following
locations... New Philadelphia, Kossuth, Plattsburg, Canton,
Harristown and Little York.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
