.Valid 00z 1/7 thru 06z 1/8...

VFR conditions will remain in place through around 06z. Between
06z and 14z, a band of showers will pass over the rterminals.
The heaviest showers will occur with a frontal passage and will
bring gusty winds, IFR visibilities and MVFR ceilings to the
terminals for an hour or so. After the band of convection moves
through, winds will shift to the west and remain gusty at 15 to 20
knots through tomorrow afternoon. A 925mb thermal trough axis will
also keep a low stratus deck in place through tomorrow evening
resulting in prevailing ceilings around 1000 feet.  PG

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN TERREBONNE AND
SOUTH CENTRAL ASSUMPTION PARISHES...

At 1132 PM CST, a strong thunderstorm was located 9 miles south of
Bayou Vista, moving east at 35 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Houma, Schriever, Gray and Dulac.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
