White River at Anderson.
.Rainfall of around an inch fell across portions of the area over
the last 36 hours. This has produced minor flooding at Anderson on
the White River. Flooding will be brief and should come to an end
tonight.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* At 10:30 AM EDT Monday the stage was 15.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 10:30 AM EDT Monday was 15.8 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to 18.0 feet just after midnight
tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late Thursday morning
to 10.1 feet and begin rising again Thursday evening. It will rise
to 10.5 feet early Friday afternoon. It will then fall again and
remain below flood stage.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Extensive flooding covers many acres of
agricultural land. State Road 225 closed by high water. Granville
Bridge Public Access Site flooded. Tippecanoe CR 950 W south of CR
75 S floods in several places from the Wabash Bottoms, Janssen
Tract to Warren CR 350 N in the Black Rock Preserve Area, a
distance of nearly 1.5 miles. High water affects Fort Ouiatenon
area. All parks in the West Lafayette and Lafayette areas are
flooded. High water almost on North River Road.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Terre Haute.
* From Tuesday evening to Monday morning.
* At 8:30 PM CDT Monday /9:30 PM EDT Monday/ the stage was 13.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow evening to a crest of 19.9 feet Friday morning. It will
then fall below flood stage Sunday evening.
* Impact...At 19.5 feet, Water begins to rise in the Izaak Walton
Lake. Sheet flowing water begins in the wetland project between
U.S. 40 and I-70, and during a prolonged flood event project fills
about 75 percent.

* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early
Wednesday morning to a crest of 17.5 feet Sunday evening. It will
then fall below flood stage Tuesday, May 18.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Extensive lowland flooding is in progress.
High water surrounds many river cabins. Access to most river
cabins is by boat only. Levees begin to protect farmland.
Extensive flooding of Leaverton Park occurs in Palestine, Illinois.
