...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a 
Flood Warning for the following river in Indiana...

  White River at Spencer

.Rain over the last week has led to elevated river levels along the 
White river with flooding expected to begin near Spencer later this 
morning.  Flooding near Spencer is expected to be brief and less 
than a foot above flood stage.  Additional rains this weekend may 
lead to renewed flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

Patchy light rain and fog continues across central Indiana early
this morning. A moist lower atmosphere is combining with some weak
upper energy and an exiting area of low pressure to produce these.
Southwest upper flow continues across the area.

The forcing producing the light rain should exit the area by 12Z.
Will have some low PoPs and a patchy fog mention before then. A weak
surface front will meander across the area today, but it will have
no upper support. Will go dry after 12Z.

With some warm advection occurring aloft, an inversion should remain
across most of central Indiana today. This will keep the moisture
trapped at low levels. Thus expect skies to remain mostly cloudy to
cloudy for most of the area. However, there just may be enough
mixing in the far south for some breaks. Confidence is low in this
though. Will nudge guidance high temperatures down a bit south given
the low confidence in clearing.

Tonight, some weak upper energy will move through the southwest
flow, bringing some lift to the area. This, along with the old front
in the area, might be enough for some patchy light precipitation
again, and several models show this. Will introduce some low PoPs
for now for parts of the area. Mild temperatures will continue with
no change in airmass, so only rain is expected all areas.

Quiet weather is expected most areas on Friday with no significant
forcing around. Late in the day some forcing from an approaching
system may sneak into the far southern forecast area, so will go
with some slight chance PoPs there.

Warm advection may be enough to push temperatures back into the 50s
and 60s, especially if some breaks in the clouds occur.

.Long Term...(Friday night through Wednesday)

Friday Night Through Sunday Night.

The long term period will begin quite active with a low pressure
system exiting the Southern Rockies and moving into the central
Plains during the daytime hours on Saturday.  Ahead of the low,
strong southerly flow in the low levels will bring seasonably warm
and humid air into the Tennessee Valley.  Across Indiana, surface
and near surface flow will be northerly which will create an area of
strong convergence along the Ohio River Saturday into Sunday with
strong to severe weather south of the forecast area.

Current thoughts are the axis of heaviest precipitation will be
south of the Ohio River with northerly surface flow across much of
the area. This will keep central Indiana out of the warm sector and
keep thunder or strong storm threats to near zero.  That being said,
there's still quite a bit of uncertainty as to where that
convergence will end up with the latest NAM run pushing the warm air
into much of south central Indiana with most other models closer to
Kentucky.

A weak TROWAL may allow for some snow to mix into the northern
counties Saturday night into early Sunday after the initial round of
rain, but confidence in both the strength of the TROWAL and how cold
the airmass is are both low at this time.  Model soundings also show
that the much of the cloud layer may be too warm for ice nucleation,
so will have to monitor the risk for sleet or possibly freezing rain
but with the warm ground conditions leading up to the wintry precip,
impacts should be minimal.

Strong CAA will lead to a non-diurnal temperature curve Sunday with
temperatures dropping to near steady through the day which may lead
to the better chances for snow to be during the daytime hours
although the best forcing will have exited by that time. Light snow
and flurries then may continue into the overnight hours Sunday night
before southerly flow returns on Monday.

Monday Through Wednesday.

Skies will fully clear by Monday morning as high pressure begins to
build across the area and dry air aloft advects into the area.
Conditions will remain near average Monday before returning to above
normal Tuesday into Wednesday as sustained southerly winds continue.
Small chances for rain arrive Wednesday as a strong upper level
system moves through southern Canada and a weak surface front
stretches southward and begins to interact with the southerly flow
in place.  Better chances for precipitation don't arrive until
Thursday to Friday, but will keep low POPs for Wednesday to account
for any timing uncertainty.

chances for more widespread FG will be east of the terminals, but
can't rule out brief dense fog towards daybreak.  The IFR cigs will
improve to MVFR during the afternoon hours with a return to IFR
likely tomorrow night. Winds will generally be northeasterly through
the period at 5-7kts.
