COUNTIES IN NORTHEASTERN ALABAMA AND FRANKLIN TN, SOUTHERN LINCOLN
AND SOUTHEASTERN MOORE COUNTIES IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE...
At 548 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain in Marshall County, and also including portions of Madison,
Jackson, Dekalb Counties in Alabama, and portions of Lincoln, Moore,
and Franklin Counties in Southern Middle Tennessee. Widespread flash
flooding is ongoing in Fort Payne, with numerous roadways covered in
upwards of 2 feet of water in some places. Avoid the area if
possible along Highway 35 near Dye Branch near the Hospital in Fort
Payne!
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

A Flash Flood Warning was replaced by a Flood Warning for lingering
flooding concerns in Northeastern Alabama and portions of Southern
Middle Tennessee. A separate Flash Flood Warning will be issued for
Dekalb County to account for the ongoing flash flooding in Fort
Payne.
