This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast Georgia, western
North Carolina and upstate South Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

   Tornado Watch.

Numerous showers and embedded thunderstorms are expected to move in
from the west and cross the area overnight. A few storms may be
strong to severe, bringing a threat of damaging wind gusts, large
hail, and isolated tornadoes. Storms should weaken as they track east
toward the I-77 corridor near daybreak Thursday.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Additional showers and storms may develop Thursday afternoon, with a
few strong storms possible mainly across the Piedmont. Another round
of showers with embedded thunderstorms is expected Friday, with a
few strong storms possible across the area.

Another dynamic storm system will cross the area over the weekend,
bringing yet another round of showers and embedded thunderstorms. A
few severe storms may be possible Saturday night into Sunday, but
there is still a lot of uncertainty in the exact strength and timing
of this system.

...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northern Macon,
northern Jackson, Swain and Graham Counties through 1045 PM EST...

At 958 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles west of Robbinsville, or 8 miles west of Town Of Santeetlah,
moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Sylva, Bryson City, Robbinsville, Cherokee, Cullowhee, Webster,
Dillsboro, Town Of Santeetlah, Smoky Mountains-Fontana Area and Lake
Santeetlah.
