  Southwestern Cheyenne County in east central Colorado...

* Until 500 PM MDT.

* At 431 PM MDT, a confirmed tornado was located 15 miles southwest
  of Kit Carson, or 39 miles west of Cheyenne Wells, moving northeast
  at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

  SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not take shelter under highway overpasses. If you
cannot safely drive away from the tornado, as a last resort, either

Carson, or 31 miles west of Cheyenne Wells, moving northeast at 30
mph.
