The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  West central Thomas County in northwestern Kansas...

* Until 500 PM CDT.
    
* At 421 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 8 miles southeast of Brewster, moving northeast at 15
  mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
  Levant.

This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 44 and 52.

CENTRAL THOMAS COUNTY...
    
At 429 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 6 miles southwest of Levant, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.
