This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska...
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

A Red Flag Warning for critical fire weather conditions is in effect
this afternoon for Greeley and Wichita counties. Any critical fire
conditions will quickly come to an end this evening with a cold front
moving south through the area.

There is a Slight Risk for severe weather this afternoon and evening
for the entire Tri State Region. Severe storms will be capable of
producing large hail, damaging winds and even an isolated tornado or
two, especially along and north of Interstate 70. Storms may also
produce heavy rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will be required now through this evening. Any
reports of hail, wind damage, heavy rain, and tornadoes are great
appreciated.

DUNDY COUNTIES UNTIL 830 PM MDT...

At 750 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 15
miles northeast of Wray, moving northeast at 25 mph.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Alvin and Wauneta.

This includes Highway 385 between mile markers 249 and 269.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM MDT for
southwestern Nebraska.

At 758 PM MDT/858 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 13 miles south of Enders
Reservoir State Recreation Area to 6 miles southwest of Stratton to 5
miles northwest of Atwood to 16 miles southeast of McDonald. Movement
was northeast at 35 mph.

Penny size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
McCook, Atwood, Benkelman, Trenton, Culbertson, Palisade and
Stratton.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM
