This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Thunderstorms are expected to move into the outlook area through
the overnight hours tonight. Some of these storms will have the
potential to be severe, with damaging wind gusts up to 75 MPH and
hail near the size of ping pong balls expected to be the primary
hazards. The best chance for severe weather looks to be along and
north of Interstate 80, but there is at least some severe risk for
the entire area.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

On Thursday afternoon, heat index values around 100 degrees are
expected over portions of north central Kansas.

Additional rounds of thunderstorms are possible Thursday and
Friday, some of which could be strong to severe. However, details
regarding specific timing, placement, and severe threats remain
uncertain and will greatly depend on how any activity from
previous days pans out.

Non-severe thunderstorm chances continue this weekend, before
trending back towards a drier pattern for the beginning of next
week.

Spotter activation may be needed through the overnight hours,
especially along and north of Interstate 80.
