The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Yavapai County in west central Arizona...

* Until 715 PM MST.

* At 407 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 
  0.75 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen across the warned area 
  near Big Bug Creek. Automated gauge near Upper Hackberry Creek 
  inidcated 0.75" in 30 minutes. Flash flooding is ongoing or 
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water
           crossings, creeks, normally dry washes and roads.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Big Bug Creek, Upper Hackberry Creek,  Mayer, Spring Valley, and 
  Poland Junction.

This includes the following highways...
	State Route 69 between mile markers 265 and 275.

Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM MST THIS 
EVENING FOR YAVAPAI COUNTY...

At 438 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Rainfall rates have 
diminished significantly. The Big Bug Creek gauge in Mayer crested 
at 2.60 ft around 4:20 PM and has begun to fall. Look for water 
levels to slowly recede over the next couple hours. Flash flooding 
is ongoing.

HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water crossings,
         creeks, normally dry washes and roads.

At 540 PM MST, Heavy rain has ended along Big Bug Creek. Between 1 
and 2 inches of rain have fallen. The public has reported water 
flowing from Big Bug Creek across Central Avenue in Mayer. Water 
levels will continue to recede over the next couple hours.

HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water crossings,
         creeks, normally dry washes and roads.
