* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just
after midnight tonight to a crest of 10.2 feet just after midnight
tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late tonight.
* Impact...At 10 feet, Flood Stage is reached. Minor flooding occurs
in the woodlands and fields upstream and downstream from the gage
near the Interstate 20 bridge. Portions of a paintball playing
field just downstream of the bridge begin to flood. Athletic

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 20.5 feet early Friday afternoon.
It will then fall below flood stage Saturday afternoon.
* Impact...At 20 feet, Minor flooding expands. An increasing amount
of the Macon GreenWay Ocmulgee Heritage Trail floods north of the
Martin Luther King Boulevard bridge. The flood waters will be
around one foot deep on portions of the trail and both banks
overflow upstream from the bridge. Large portions of agricultural
lands well downstream will be under one to three feet of water.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Sweetwater Creek near Austell.
* Until late tonight.
* At 5:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 12.5 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 10 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late
tonight and continue falling to 2.8 feet Monday evening.
* Impact...At 13 feet, Moderate flooding begins. Significant
flooding occurs in the woodlands and fields upstream and
downstream from the gage near the Interstate 20 bridge. Portions
of a paintball playing field just downstream of the bridge and
athletic fields in the Woodrow Wilson Park on Mount Vernon Road
are flooded with 2 to 3 feet of water. Water begins to flood a few
mobile homes on Brook Forest Road and homes on Wren Circle in
Douglas County. Portions of Sunlight Drive in Cobb County will be
flooded.

* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late
this evening and continue falling to 2.7 feet Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet, Moderate flooding begins. Significant
flooding occurs in the woodlands and fields upstream and
downstream from the gage near the Interstate 20 bridge. Portions
of a paintball playing field just downstream of the bridge and

The Flood Warning continues for
the Ocmulgee River near Macon.
* Until Saturday evening.
* At 9:30 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 17.7 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this
afternoon to a crest of 20.0 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage early Saturday afternoon.
* Impact...At 20.0 feet, Minor flooding expands. An increasing
amount of the Macon GreenWay Ocmulgee Heritage Trail floods north
of the Martin Luther King Boulevard bridge. The flood waters will
be around one foot deep on portions of the trail and both banks
overflow upstream from the bridge. Large portions of agricultural
lands well downstream will be under one to three feet of water.
