For the Chattooga River...including Summerville...Minor flooding is 
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

  the Chattooga River near Summerville.
* From late tonight to Wednesday evening.
* At 9:45 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 6.8 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 14 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late tonight to 
  14.7 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage 
  early tomorrow afternoon to 4.6 feet and begin rising again 
  Thursday evening. It will rise to 5 feet Friday morning. It will 
  then fall again and remain below flood stage.
* Impact...At 14 feet, Minor flooding of woodlands and fields begins 
  along the river upstream and downstream from the gage on U.S. 
  Highway 27 or Rome Boulevard.
