This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of south central
New Mexico, southwest New Mexico, and southwest Texas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight
Isolated lowland and scattered mountain showers and thunderstorms
will be possible again today. The Gila region will likely see the
greatest storm coverage with locally heavy rain the main threat
which could cause localized flooding. A couple of the strongest
storms could also produce wind gusts to 45 mph and small hail.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday
There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms each day
mainly in the afternoon and evening hours. Storm coverage will be
earlier and higher over the mountains. Some of the storms will
produce periods of heavy rainfall that has a potential to cause
flash flooding along drainages, streams, arroyos, low water
crossings and poorly drained low lying areas. Sudden and erratic
wind gusts up to 50 mph will also be possible from stronger
storms.

office and local law enforcement.

PM MDT...

At 443 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles southwest of Lordsburg, moving west at 5 mph.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 50 mph with blowing dust will
be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Lordsburg, Lordsburg Playa, Shakespeare and Pyramid Mountains.

This includes Interstate 10 in New Mexico between mile markers 13 and
19, and between mile markers 27 and 30.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

At 516 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles southwest of Lake Valley, moving north at 15 mph.

Half inch hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this
storm.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of eastern Grant,
southern Sierra and northern Luna Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
