* From late tonight to Tuesday morning.
* At 700 PM EST Saturday, the stage was 12.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early
Sunday morning to a crest of 13.3 feet Sunday evening. It will
then fall below flood stage Monday evening.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet, the Rocky Ford boat ramp at the bridge on
Rocky Ford Road is unusable. Agricultural lands along the river
flood.

plain is inundated from Canadys to Highway 17. Extensive damage
occurs to homes and cabins throughout this area and most river
access roads are impassable. Flooding will also impede travel as
portions of major roadways are closed to traffic including Parkers
Ferry Road, Camp Buddy Road, and Wire Road.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 13.5 feet Saturday
morning.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet, major flooding occurs as the entire flood
plain is inundated from Canadys to Highway 17. Extensive damage
occurs to homes and cabins throughout this area and most river
access roads are impassable. Flooding will also impede travel as
portions of major roadways are closed to traffic including Parkers
Ferry Road, Camp Buddy Road, and Wire Road.

.SYNOPSIS...
High pressure will build into the area through the weekend. A
cold front will move through late Monday, followed by high
pressure.
&&
.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 AM SUNDAY MORNING/...
The boundary layer is already starting to decouple as sunset
approaches. Calm/light winds will prevail for much of the night
under clear skies before increasing a few hours prior to
daybreak as the pressure gradient begins to tighten. Hourly
temperatures were adjusted down prior to midnight as
temperatures should fall quickly after sunset as strong
radiational cooling sets up. Lows from the upper 20s/near 30
well inland with lower 40s along the beaches look on track.
Might need to lower them slightly with later updates pending
radiational trends, but with winds expected to increase before
daybreak this could disrupt the radiative process enough to keep
temperatures from cratering during the diurnal minimum.

.SHORT TERM /6 AM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY/...
Dry high pressure will prevail on Sunday with mostly sunny skies
and highs in the mid to upper 50s. A coastal trough will develop
Sunday night, bringing an increase in cloud cover and possible
rain showers, especially late. As the surface high pushes
offshore Monday morning and a cold front approaches from the
west, unseasonably warm and moist air will overspread the
region. Numerous showers are expected Monday, especially in the
afternoon ahead of the cold front. Highs will be in the upper
60s. Tuesday will be dry and cooler as high pressure rebuilds.

.LONG TERM /TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY/...
High pressure will prevail through Thursday. Cloud cover will
be minimal each day and plenty of sunshine is expected. A weak
cold front will approach the area Friday with showers developing
along and ahead of the front, affecting the region Friday into
Saturday. Temperatures are expected to adjust to near
climatological norms during the week with highs in the 60s/low
70s and lows in the 40s/low 50s for most of the forecast area.

Extended Aviation Outlook: A cold front will approach from the
west Monday with the potential for flight restrictions within
showers and/or low ceilings late Sunday through Monday night.
VFR conditions should prevail thereafter.

Tonight: Winds have gone light to SE near the coast within a
weak sea breeze circulation. Winds should return north to
northeast later this evening as the sea breeze dissipates and
high pressure noses south. Speeds look to increase to 10-15 kt
overnight. Seas will average 1-3 ft nearshore with 4-5 ft
Georgia offshore waters.
Sunday through Thursday: High pressure will expand over the
waters Sunday, then shift offshore Sunday night and Monday while
a weak coastal trough develops. Persistent moderate NE to E
winds Sunday through Monday are expected to bring some 6 ft seas
into the offshore GA waters Sunday morning, continuing through
Monday evening. A Small Craft Advisory has been issued for this
time. Marine conditions should improve Tuesday as high pressure
builds back over the waters.
