Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and
evening, but will mainly be focused over the Twin Tiers and Finger
Lakes. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible, which may lead to
isolated flooding. Areas that have already had heavy rainfall in
recent days will be more vulnerable.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Additional showers and thunderstorms will affect the area on Monday,
with a few strong to severe thunderstorms possible again, mainly near
and east of I-81. Damaging wind gusts and locally heavy rainfall will
be the primary threats.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN BRADFORD COUNTY...

At 518 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Springfield, or
near Troy, moving east at 25 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Athens, Springfield, West Burlington, Burlington, Milan, Wetona, East
Smithfield, Leona, Riggs and Cowley.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN STEUBEN COUNTY...

At 721 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Whitesville, or
15 miles southeast of Wellsville, moving northeast at 15 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Canisteo, Woodhull, Jasper, Troupsburg, Cameron, Greenwood,
Hartsville, West Cameron, Willeyville and Young Hickory.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
