  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain 
  have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 3 inches in 2 
  hours. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

NORTHWESTERN ARMSTRONG, SOUTHWESTERN CARSON, POTTER AND NORTHERN 
RANDALL COUNTIES...

At 1156 PM CDT, street flooding was reported at Arnot Road and 
Interstate 40 between Amarillo and Bushland. Additionally, street 
flooding was occurring at Interstate 40 and Lakeside Drive in 
eastern Amarillo. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. 
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the 
warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

At 1217 AM CDT, the public reported rapidly flowing water over the 
road at 34th and Georgia Street in Amarillo. Between 1 and 3 inches 
of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 
1 hour. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Amarillo, Panhandle, Washburn, Mescalero Park, Bushland, Valley De 
  Oro and Pantex.

Flooding is also occurring at Interstate 40 and Arnot Road between 
Amarillo and Bushland, at the road construction zone at Coulter and 
Hollywood in southern Amarillo, and at the construction zone at 
Interstate 40 and Lakeside in eastern Amarillo.
