This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwestern Connecticut,
western Massachusetts, east central New York, eastern New York and
southern Vermont.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Showers are thunderstorms are expected through this evening and
into the first part of the tonight. There is a marginal to slight
risk for severe thunderstorms. The main threat will be damaging wind
gusts as storms track west to east across the area. Brief, isolated
tornado cannot be ruled out as well.

Showers and thunderstorms will be capable of producing heavy
downpours. There is a marginal to slight risk for flash flooding.
Urban, low lying and poor drainage areas are most as risk, especially
for locations that recently experienced flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Widespread hazardous weather is low at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will likely be needed into this evening. Spotters
are encouraged to pass along any reports of wind damage, heavy
rainfall or flooding to the National Weather Service via phone, email
or social media.

...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of south central Fulton,
northwestern Schoharie and Montgomery Counties through 545 PM EDT...

At 519 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near St. Johnsville to near Cherry Valley to
Elk Creek. Movement was east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Gloversville, Johnstown, Cobleskill, Canajoharie, Fonda, Fort Plain,
Ephratah, Sharon Springs, Ames, Tribes Hill, Glen, Carlisle, Sharon,
Seward, Charleston, Fultonville, Palatine Bridge, Nelliston, Meco and
Zeh Corners.

This includes Interstate 90 between exits 28 and 29.
