This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwestern Connecticut,
western Massachusetts, east central New York, eastern New York and
southern Vermont.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

There is a marginal to slight risk for severe weather this and
evening with the main threat being isolated to scattered damaging
wind gusts. Locally heavy rainfall could result in isolated minor
urban and poor drainage flooding and standing water in low lying
areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

There is a chance of thunderstorms Friday through Sunday, mainly
during the afternoon and evening hours.

The return of warm and humid conditions may result in heat index
values reaching the mid and upper 90s Thursday and Friday in the
Hudson and Mohawk Valleys as well as lower portions of the Berkshires
and Litchfield Hills. Heat Advisories may be necessary.

Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with this storm.

Park, Ghent, Hillsdale, Greenport Center, Mellenville, Craryville,

At 655 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near North-South
Lake Campground, or 8 miles southeast of Hunter, moving east at 20
mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Saugerties, Livingston, Clermont, Saugerties South, Veteran,
Germantown, Tivoli, Centerville, Tannersville, Asbury, Canoe Hill,
Cokertown, Kerleys Corners, Quarryville, Manorville, Katsbaan,
Burden, Nevis, Blue Mountain and Cheviot.

This includes Interstate 87 near exit 20.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
