.SYNOPSIS...
High pressure remains centered off the southeast coast through
today. A cold front moves across the area this afternoon into
this evening. High pressure builds into the area from the north
over the weekend. Low pressure slowly tracks across the region
early next week.

.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/...
As of 335 AM EST Friday...

Early this morning, sfc high pressure was centered well off the
Mid Atlc/SE coast, while a cold front was approaching from the
NW. The sky was mostly clear to partly cloudy with high clouds
streaming into the area in advance of the front. Temps ranged
from the mid 50s to the lower 60s.

The cold front will drop across the region this aftn into this
evening. SW then W winds 10-15 mph ahead of the front will still
help temps warm into the mid 60s to mid 70s, as the sky becomes
mostly cloudy or cloudy. Expect isolated to sctd showers with
the front, so have PoPs 15-40% as moisture/lift will be limited
with the boundary. QPF will be very light with only a few
hundredths expected across the region.

.SHORT TERM /6 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT/...
As of 335 AM EST Friday...

The pcpn and the cold front will push south of the area this
evening into tonight, with decreasing clouds and low temps
ranging from the upper 30s far N, to the upper 40s/near 50 far
S.

High pressure will build into and over the area for Sat,
providing a partly to mostly sunny sky. High temps will range
from the upper 40s to lower 50s over the Lwr MD/VA ern shore,
and right along the Bay/coast, to the upper 50s to lower 60s
inland/piedmont. Will maintain dry wx Sat night through Sun
night, as sfc high pressure to the NW or N will keep a frontal
boundary well SSW of the region. Mostly clear or partly cloudy
Sat night with lows ranging from the lower 30s to the lower 40s.
Sunny NE to partly sunny or mostly cloudy SSW on Sun, with highs
ranging from the upper 50s to mid 60s. Mostly clear NE to mostly
cloudy extrm SW Sun night with lows ranging through the 30s to
near 40.

.LONG TERM /MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY/...
As of 355 AM EST Friday...

High pressure, ridging down into the Mid Atlc region Mon
morning, will shift eastward and offshore late Mon into Mon
night as sfc low pressure moves into Illinois lifting a warm
front toward the region. Highs on Mon will only rise into the
mid 40s to around 50. PoPs increase across the wrn counties
late Mon aftn into Mon evening, with higher rain chances
spreading eastward overnight into Tue morning. Guidance has
come into better agreement regarding any potential p-type
issues Mon night into Tue morning. There may be some mixed pcpn
over the nrn third of the area during this time period. Lows
Mon night will range through the 30s to near 40.

Low pressure and the warm front will push across the area and
off the coast Tue into Tue night with rain showers likely. Highs
on Tue will range from the upper 40s/near 50 over the extrm N,
to the upper 50s to near 60 SE. Another system will likely
affect the region late Wed night through Thu with more rain
showers. Highs will range from the upper 50s to upper 60s Wed,
and range from the mid 50s to lower 60s Thu.

.AVIATION /09Z FRIDAY THROUGH TUESDAY/...
As of 120 AM EST Friday...

VFR conditions will prevail at all TAF sites today into Sat
morning. Becoming mostly cloudy to cloudy today, as a cold
front approaches and drops across the area. CIGs will drop from
200k ft to around 6-8k ft from late this morning through late
this aftn. Slight to sml chance of showers from late this
morning into early this evening. So, added VCSH to all the TAF
sites. Winds will be SW then W 10-15 kt in advance of the front,
then become N or NW 5-10 kt behind the front this evening into
Sat morning.

OUTLOOK...VFR conditions expected Sat and Sun, as high pressure
builds in from the north. The next chance for pcpn and possible
flight restrictions will be late Mon through Tue, as low
pressure crosses the region.

.MARINE...
As of 340 AM EST Friday...

High pressure is centered off the Southeast coast early this
morning. Meanwhile, low pressure is located well north of the
region over Eastern Canada, with a cold front trailing to the SW
through New England and into Eastern PA. The wind remains SSW
10- 20kt across the marine area early this morning, with
marginal SCA conditions ongoing for the Bay for a 15-20kt SSW
wind, and the ocean N of Cape Charles for seas ~5ft (mainly out
near 20nm). The SCA flags continue through 7 AM from New Point
Comfort to Smith Point, and through 10 AM S of New Point Comfort
and the ocean N of Cape Charles.

The cold front will remain north of the area today, and then slide N-
S along the coast late this afternoon into this evening. The wind is
expected to become WSW and diminish to 10-15kt later this morning,
and potentially becomes sea-breeze dominant this afternoon as the
pressure gradient slackens. The wind becomes NW behind the cold
front this evening, with a brief period of stronger CAA arriving
late tonight into Saturday morning resulting in a N wind of 15-20kt.
No SCA flags have been issued yet given current ongoing flags. High
pressure builds across the region Saturday afternoon into Saturday
night, and then slides offshore Sunday. Another cold front crosses
the coast Sunday night with high pressure building in from the north
Monday. Low pressure potentially moves across the area Tuesday.
