Showers move through ahead of the front tomorrow night into Fri morning and may mix down stronger winds to the surface. Cannot rule out isolated thunder with the overnight convection. Not much of a cold air surge behind the front Fri with winds becoming SW 10-15 kt Fri afternoon before becoming NW 5-10 kt Fri evening and N/NE Fri night. However, a secondary cold front moves through Sat with W winds increasing to 15-20 kt by late Sat afternoon, becoming NW Sat night. W/WNW winds may increase to 15-20 kt Mon afternoon through Tues night with SCAs possible. Waves of 1-2 ft and seas of 3-4 ft are expected to continue through the day. Seas of 4-5 ft off the Outer Banks early this morning are expected to subside to ~4 ft by mid morning. Will maintain SCAs for the southernmost coastal waters to account for these elevated seas.
