The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Lancaster County in eastern Virginia...
  Northumberland County in eastern Virginia...

* Until 600 PM EDT.

* At 303 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Additionally, local law 
  enforcement and trained spotters have reported road closures and 
  high water in portions of Lancaster County. Between 2 and 4 inches 
  of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 3 inches 
  in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
