...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE MONDAY 
NIGHT...

The National Weather Service in Anchorage has expanded the

* Flood Watch to include the following area, Anchor River at Anchor 
  Point.

* From Friday afternoon through late Monday night.

* An atmospheric river will bring significant precipitation to the 
  Kenai Peninsula late Friday through Sunday. Freezing levels in the 
  basin will hover around 3000 ft MSL during the heaviest 
  precipitation (Saturday). Expect the Anchor River at Anchor Point 
  to reach minor flood stage by Saturday evening, then crest at 
  moderate flood stage later Saturday night. River levels should 
  drop below flood stage Monday.

* Area highways may have problems... New Sterling Hwy near mile 160 
  could wash out. The campground located downstream from the 
  Sterling Highway Bridge may flood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood 
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared 
to take action should flooding develop.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become 
unstable and unsafe.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE 
MONDAY NIGHT...

The Flood Watch continues for:

* Flood Watch the following area, Resurrection River and other small 
  streams near Seward, AK

* From Friday afternoon through late Monday night.

* Heavy rain is forecast for Seward and surrounding areas 
  with up to 8 inches expected from Friday through Monday morning. 
  This has the potential to cause minor flooding along the 
  Resurrection
  River and other small streams in the Seward area. The Resurrection
  River is expected to crest Sunday. Other small streams in the Seward 
  area may see minor flooding. 

* EXPECTED IMPACTS: It is possible that part of the runway at the 
  Seward Airport will flood, particularly during high tide Saturday 
  night and Sunday night. Also with heavy rainfall there will be a 
  lot of gravel and sediment washing into creeks causing them to 
  rise over bank.
