Isolated to scattered showers and storms over the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and areas south of the I-40 corridor will produce locally heavy rainfall with localized areas of flash flooding possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible over the central and southern high terrain Monday. A couple storms may produce brief heavy rainfall and strong outflow winds. At 434 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13
miles southeast of Bosque Del Apache Refuge, or 29 miles south of
Socorro, moving southwest at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central
Socorro County.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

moving southwest at 10 mph.
