* At  7:15 PM Wednesday the stage was 18.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Impact: At 19.0 feet: Minor lowland flooding will occur at Douglas 
  Landing and Willis Landing Campgrounds in Gulf County. The 19.0 ft 
  level at Blountstown may at times not be representative of river 
  levels in these areas due to tidal effects, winds, or local 
  rainfall and should be used with caution.

.AVIATION...
[Through 18Z Thursday]

DHN is the last Terminal holding on to MVFR visibility conditions,
but is expected to improve to VFR conditions over the next hour.
VFR conditions are expected to remain at all terminals until the
overnight hours, where low visibilities will once again plague all
terminals. Expect LIFR conditions with visibilities once again
dropping to between 1/2 and 1/4 mile visibility at times.
Conditions are expected to slowly improve through the morning
hours.

.PREV DISCUSSION [1032 AM EST]...

.NEAR TERM [Through Today]...

A dense fog advisory remains in effect until mid morning. After
the fog dissipates we expect skies to be mostly cloudy with moist
southerly flow in the low levels and westerly flow aloft.
Forecast soundings show PW's across our CWA ranging from 1.50"
northwest 1.20" southeast. PoPs will be tapered low end chance
(30%) northwest to < 10% far southeast. Rain will be patchy and
light with low QPF amounts. Temps will range from the upper 70s to
lower 80s.

.SHORT TERM [Tonight through Friday]...

Dense fog will remain a possibility again tonight as a warm and
moist airmass for this time of year remains in place. A cold front
will move south into the area on Thursday, but dynamics will be
weak with this system, so only a slight chance of showers is
expected. Low rain chances will sag south with the front as it
reaches the northern Gulf Thursday night. Some cooler and drier
air will be on the heels of the front.

.LONG TERM [Friday Night Through Wednesday]...

A stronger front is expected to arrive on Saturday with higher
rain chances across the area. Instability appears limited to
right along the coast and offshore, so a mention of thunderstorms
was limited to those areas. Severe weather is not currently
expected with this system. Behind this front, much cooler and
drier air will arrive for the beginning of the next work week.
Temperatures will be below average for the month of January and
low temperatures will be approaching or below freezing Monday and
Tuesday nights. Highs early next week will be in the upper 40s to
lower 50s for most of the area.

.MARINE...

Fog will continue to be a concern through Thursday, especially
across the nearshore waters and near the coast where occasional
visibilities will be less than one mile. The best time for the
reduced visibilities will be in the overnight hours. Winds and seas
will remain favorable through Thursday night, at which time winds
and seas in the offshore waters will be in the cautionary range.
Winds and seas may increase to near advisory levels as the next
cold front approaches Friday and Saturday.

.FIRE WEATHER...

There are no hazardous fire weather conditions expected.

.HYDROLOGY...

Rainfall amounts over the next seven days are expected to be an
inch or less. As a result, there are no flooding concerns for the
next seven days with the possible exception of the Apalachicola
River at Blountstown. That will depend on future dam releases
upstream.
